5 and 7 beat rhythms in TFM

How much have TFM MDs experimented with 5 beat and 7 beat songs? My WCM teacher tells me that most WCM is in duple or triple time. I can straightaway recollect lots of IR songs - Isaiyil Thodangudhamma(7) , Pottu Vaiththa Oru Vatta Nilaa (7), Paarththa Vizhi (5), Meettaadha Oru Veenai (6), Aruna Kirana (7).... Have other MDs also experimented here? Moreover we could also discuss beat changes in a song. For instance, Meetaadha Oru Veenai- has its first interlude in 6 beat. And Aruna Kirana starts in duple time, and goes on to 7 beat. Thendral Vandhu theendumbodhu has pallavi in 10 beat, and anupallavi in 4 beat... Are there more such experimentations by others apart from IR...?
