MUMBAI: Bollywood just couldn't stop making news through 2002, be it for the bratty antics of its stars or its crowning creative offerings.

Here are the personalities who hogged the headlines.


A R Rahman: He flew to Britain to pursue his Bombay Dreams, and flew back just in time to greet his Saathiya in Mumbai.

West or East, Rahman lay out a musical feast that showed no sign of paling. Sceptics said Rahman wouldn't last. But at yearend, everyone was singing his songs while other composers struggled to keep their heads above water. From Bombay to Bombay Dreams, Rahman has come a long way.
