The aural composition of a song The aural composition of a song

A song consists of the following components:

a. Tune
b. Voices
c. Lyrics
d. The orchestration

Tune generally means the tune of the pallavi. The interludes between the pallavi and the charanams tend to hv a different tune and the charanams tend to repeat one tune several times. I suspect that the beginning tune decides the success or the failure of a song.

The orchestration decides what instrument should be used when and the volume, duration etc.

I would like to discuss these components, ownership of these components, how/who/why of the excellence in these components and so on.
