Another director shifts from IR to ARR

After Maniratnam, KB and so many others, another director shifts from IR to ARR (with a brief stint with other composers in between!)...Nazar! But I really why this time it happened, considering IR had given amazing scores for both Avatharam and Devathai. Also wonder why Nazar chose Deva for Mayan. The transition reminds me of Bharathiraja...who hopelessly floated from Vidyasagar to Deva after breaking up with IR.

Mohanlal to act in Nazar film

Nazar, who produced and directed Mayan is to direct another Tamil film with Mohanlal in the lead and has A.R. Rahman as the music director. Mayan’s box office collections were not bad despite the film having Nazar in the main role. This will be Mohanlal’s second film in Tamil after Iruvar, directed by Manirathinam.
