Generation Gap in TFM

How do we define a generation of TFM.

GR (and earlier MDs)-MSVTKR-MSV-IR-ARR-New MDs(I dont want this to end up as an IR-ARR) or can we base it on playback singers like-MKT-TMS/PS-SJ/SBP-Chitra-HH.

There are many artists and MDs I have left out, we could discuss the ones who made a real change. Can we split the generations yearwise, like when MSV-TRK split or when Annakili or Roja were released?
