GRamanathan BGM

Yesterday i watched '1000 thalai vangi aburva sinthAmani'(music GR)- the BGM was terrible infact most of the scenes had 'silence' has BGM.
naayagi says 'prabhu..' and BGM is silence..after few seconds naayagan says 'anbe'
no music in between...can you imagine?

If only IR had been born few decades ago we could have had hungary musicians playing violins ,flutes and what not...mmm god people must have missed IR so much those days.

what do you guys say?

  I also watched Siva kavi few months ago. A MKT starer. Needless to say about BGM. Had IR was born before independence, we woulod have even had Royal Philharmonic here to play his BGM for that film. You know British empire would have been happy to allow that.
  Bad luck for the film Siva Kavi.
  I think that Vinayan or Fasil should reproduce the film and have IR's BGM in that conducted by non other than Zubin mehta.

  Forget GR s BGM
  
  He could not even do a sterophonic recording.I dont why those musicians could not think ahead of time.Wehad to wait till 1977 to get one.
  
  Another joke is he did not know how to compose for Ramarajan songs and he has claimed that he has used folk music.I am sure folk music was invented by IR exclusively for Ramarajan.
  
  MSV ,except for a few songs which had composed ( i suspect IR was playing combo at that time for him and they could be IR s tunes) his contribution to TFM is nil.He did not know what BGM is.above all he did not know what are B ,G ,M as he was not educated.
  
  I saw Pasamalar few days back.It sucks big time!Mohan would have been the ideal choice.Had it had R Sunderrajan as director and IR as MD the movie would have got nominated for Oscar...Why nominated..it would have won one for its BGM alone.

  We are actually discussing hwo great it would have been if IR had composed for all GR films. Poor GR wasted all opertunities. Poor MKT also, who had to sing for all country beats and tunes.
