Gautham to direct KK in Hindi!

Gautham Menon seems to have struck gold with his police story Kaakha Kaakha, which is turning out to be mega hit.

Feroz Khan, the Hindi actor and producer has purchased the Hindi remake rights of Kaakha Kaakha for a whopping price and has requested Gautham to direct it. The rumour is that the director who was initially reluctant to direct the film in Hindi has agreed after being promised a fancy amount.

Gautham had earlier made statement that he will never direct a film in Hindi after the Rehna Hai Tere Dil Main fiasco. This film was a remake of his own Minnale, a blockbuster in Tamil.

The Hindi film will have Feroz’s son Fardeen in the lead role of ACP, which Surya had made memorable! The makers are trying to rope in Preity Zinta to do the role of Jyothika.

However the surprise element is that the music of Harris Jayaraj, which was one of the major highlights of Kaakha Kaakha will not be used in the Hindi remake and instead, Sandeep Chowta will be the music director.

  HJ composed extra songs for Rehna hai tere dil me.. the remake of Minnale in Hindi. So all he did in Kaaka kaaka was lift those songs and compose them in Tamil.(same director.. no hassles!)
  
  But yes.. that may be one of the reasons Sandeep Chawta is being preferred.
  
  i dont know how I pulled myself to support HJ here.. but for all i know he's a skiver of someone else's style.

  I know this movie aint going to be a hit in Hindi because HJ's music is absent in this one. It was one of the plus points. And Fardeen Khan doesnt have a good market. They should have atleast went to Aamir Khan or even that Hrithik dude. For the title role. And as for the heroine. They should get Aish.

  Venky was on cloud nine after the success of Malliswari, in which his performance was appreciated by the classes and masses. His comedy timing was perfect and the audience simply loved his happy-go-lucky character.
  
  His next release will be the remake of the Tamil hit Kaakha Kaakha directed by Gautham Menon in which he plays a tough police officer. The film is temporarily titled Bhavani Shankar. Asin plays his heroine. Yana Gupta does an item number (what Ramya Krishnan did in the original) with him. Recently Venky met with an accident in Sri Lanka while shooting for a song (the famous “Uyirin Uyire” in the original), but was unhurt.
  
  Veteran director Raghavendra Rao is back after a short break with Venky in the lead in his next film produced by Aswini Dutt. This team has tasted success in films like Kaliyuga Pandavulu, Muddula Priyudu, Sahasa Veerudu Sagara Kanya and Sundara Kanda. Shriya and Genelia will be his heroines in this untitled film.

  i still cant belive that Fardeen & zinta are going to pair in the Hindi Remake.
  I ve seen the quality of Hindi movies, where unnecessary glamour has to be added in songs & sequences at times when the same is not required.
  Wud prefer to see Gautham Menon directing the same with actors like Ajay Devgan , & Gracy Singh etc
  But The role of Suriya & Jyothika is absolutely awesome, wud wish 2 meet the whole team at chennai or Mumbai
