All times in EST +10:30 for IST.
IR' music has the biggest scope than any other music for more stronger rhythms like in American music. BUT, that is the problem, BUT, IR does not want the melody of his songs to be overpowered by the percussion, which is kept in the background. This explains why Rahman's music is more acceptable to western ears, where there is no interest in melody, but the rhythm is more predominant. For this reason, IR will not be accepted by American audiences or in Hollywood, because look at the theme music of the movies, lots of tough percussion - even though most of the ideas are bland.
About PINEWOOD (Bond movies for example), IR will be appreciated in Europe because there melody is valued and not the American musical ideas.
So, if there is a campaign to market IR' music in America, first rework the orchestra of the songs and make the rhythms predominant.

OISG,
IR accepted he started liking simplicity only at latter part of his career.
He said it in the context why he refused Ring presented by ARR. He said had he accepted and not wore them, that is a real disrespect to ARR.
He further said I use to where Bell bottom and all at my earlier stage. But subsequently I started liking simplicity and do not wear any ornament. That's why I refused gold ring given by ARR, not to disrespect him.

Posting in caps doesn't make nonsense become sense.
IR is best known for his lewd and sexy songs, taking Tamil movie songs to the lowest of low. His negative contributions far outweigh the positive ones.
Hard core fans of IR are better off not commenting on other artistes' works.
Saavumola appreciators can only enjoy saavumolam. :)

Friends, there is a famous phrase in Rajendra kumar stories "__ enRu mu(Vi)zhiththaan!". I tried to put in english (nge, gne!) very hard to write). Seeing some comments I am also in similar condition. some of you can help me in writing that particular phrase.

there is a difference between a successful person and a unsuccessful person talking..
assume...the great Mahatma Gandhi says "We should take everyone girl in this world as a sister, unless you are really sure she is ur love life"

but...if the same thing being said by Anna Saalai begger...he might be ignored ...
that is the case here..between ARR and IR..
when it comes from ARR (who is succesful internationally)..it's great..
btu IR failed to do so...he may be good...but he associates his music...to some dumbos'...like "Ramarajan, and some stupid directors..." and so..all his so-called gems/...gets ignored
