Ilayaraaja - perhaps the only composer to compose for humor

I think Raaja is perhaps the only composer to have composed very apt songs for humorous situations. Earliest examples are: Vangonna (Badrakali) and Engengum Kandenamma (Ullasa Paravaigal. The list is really long and just how easy is it for anyone to composer for humor will tell us something more about the enigma of IR.

Here again, I can't think of any composer who displayed this side of human nature in music.

  bb: all villupattukaL start like that. But in Hitler Umanath, there is a Villupaatu Song by Surulli. If you get a chance please don't miss it.
