Mani Rathnam's next venture is Hindi? It is surprising?

Mani Rathnam to make another Hindi Film Courtesy: [Rediff Movies Jan 5 2003]

The buzz is getting stronger by the day. Though his maiden Hindi film Dil Se.. did not work at the box-office, South Indian maverick Mani Rathnam is all set to make another Hindi film, this time with three heroes. Rathnam has reportedly negotiated with Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi for this project. Music by A R Rahman.

So what happened to the Hindi film that Rathnam wanted to make with Aamir Khan and the long-cherished Tamil project with Kamal Hassan?

  Mani and Kamal apparently fell out after the latter asked for an astronomical sum as his salary which put off Mani - reliable source from Chennai
