Why are Northies Ignorant or Bias towards South Indian Artists?

Northies think India means, just people speaking Hindi / Punjabhi, they are very ignorant of south Indian talents, they think Kumar sanu is the best singer in India, without any idea of SPB, KJY like, they chant about RD.Burman ( I agree he was very great), without any idea about IR, MSV, they love ARR though, but many of them are unaware of the fact ARR is a Tamilian, according to them Big Bachan / Dilip Kumar / Dharmender are the all India's greatest actor, what about Sivaji Ganeshan,

what the hell is going on?

  Ah u forgot PS,SJ,SPB,SPS,Ghantasala from Andhra, KJY and KSC and swarnalatha (?) from Kerala, PBS from Karnataka! AFAIK PS,SJ,SPB have literally ruled TFM!
  
  If HF got people from other states, twas becoz Hindi as a language is very popular amongst all northern states. It is natural.

  Naaz, I was not commenting on your whole point on racism, internal or external. I only objected and still object to using women's cosmetic fantasy trips (I remember the discussion including even bleaching creams in the other thread) as an example to illustrate racism or to show tamizhs are ashamed to be dark. As far as I'm concerned this example is invalid in this context, as the need to alter their looks goes beyond mere colour consciousness, which was the whole point in my last post.

  Women have the prediliction to change "the way the look" to "what they want them to look like".
  
  To Any woman, even to Gods finest creations like aishwarya rai :-) there is a phase lag between how they actually look and what they want themselves to look like.
  
  SO the creams and powders come into thier lives to brush out any flaws they perceive their faces have.
  
  There are also some vague explanations where women do some sort of a horrible make up to make them look good in their marriage receptions.
  
  vague explanations like its looks good on video are quite baffling to the men folk but they persist along to keep women in good humor :-)

  U mentioned Sridevi, Hema malini of being fat, yes I agree they are a bit flabby, but Sridevi (after the plastic nose), Hema malini have really beautiful face, just the beauty godess Aiswariya rai :)

  Kasargod district division was an issue between Karnataka and Kerala, which eventually went to Kerala. Kasargod borders Manglore of Karnataka. Even now there are some activists and activities going on in Kasargod that it has to be given to Karnataka.
  
  BTW does malabar include Palghat? What i heard that the exchange of Kanyakumari district(KKD) was done with Palghat, in Kerala and ThamizhNadu states reorganisation. We can see temples in KKD, even now, follow the kerala way of temple management (e-g) males should not wear shirts in all KKD temples (the only other non-KKD but TN temple which enforce this is thiruchendur senthilaandavar temple). In addition to this ThakkaLai Padhmanaabhapuram palace, which is in KKD, is fully managed by Kerala Govt. Kanyakumari, an all india tourist spot has both TN and Kerala Govt. tourist houses.
