It is not wrong to say that he is the first versatile singer in TFM. He was
comfortable in singing different songs in different styles,  like  kalyana 
samayal sadam ,  Addikere kaidhan addikum ,  Kangalum kavi paddudhe, etc. His 
sons are also good singers. Deepan chakravorthy among them is the most 
successful, but not anywhere near him. He sang songs not only for heros, but 
to villains and comedians too!
