This is how I see it. Awards and commercial success are two different things. Not necessarily mutually exclusive. It is not a consolation trophy. It is not a catalyst to commercial success either....

Paayum Puli - Watchable but not in the usual Suseenthiran league.

Thani Oruvan _ Superb!!! Best Action film in recent times. No more can he be referred as 'Remake Raja'

But it got extremely good reviews as well. Apart from movie portals it got a pat from long timers like Baradwaj Rangan and Ananda Vikatan (52 marks).
