Trailer looks weird ?? I thought it looks very nice. A typical love story with Gautham's touch. Its like Mani Ratnam's movie but with lights. Songs r no doubt the real hero in the film.

VINNAITHANDI VARUVAYA -REVIEW

The most hyped tamil music album of all times, Vinnaithandi Varuvaayaa is out. According to the estimates of the advance booking, this is also all set to become the biggest album ever in terms of sale. The reason for the hype being this is the first tamil album from ARR after double oscar and also this is the first time the hit combo of Harris-Gautam has given off to the combo of ARR-Gautam. Gautam Menon is known for giving out best music from his movies. Added to the camp is the beautiful lyrics of Tamarai who is one of the best lyricists around today. Does, the album satisfy all the hype? Read on to find out.



The first track is kannukkul kannai sung by Naresh iyer :
Like the whole album this song has a hip feeling about it. Beautiful humming and amazing lyrics. Even though the music has an international feel to it, lyrics are still sweet and native with beautiful wordings. A nice treat to begin the album with.

Next on the album is mannipaya by shreya ghosal and A.R.Rahman :
Amazing orchestration and with ARR at the mikes, amazing singing by both the singers. Must go down as one of the all time classics of ARR singing.

Next is Aaromale by alphons joseph :
A completely new experience to the tamil music circuit. A good guitar piece to start with. Fresh music and fresh song. It will make a nice hear at night time when there is no one to disturb and one is about to fall asleep.

Next is vinnaithandi varuvaaya by Karthik :
The honors of singing the title song goes to Karthik. nice guitar composition, a sad song where hero is missing the heroine. again international feel and nice singing.



Next is omana penne by kalyani menon, benny : Awesome lyrics, smart singing, beautiful composition.The female voice comes in mid as a surprise b’cos all the time it sounds like a male song. Should be interesting to see how it is being picturised. Nagaswaram at end is lovely.Nice jugalbandi at the end between the silky voice of benny and nagaswaram.

Next isanbil avan by Chinmayi,Devan Ekambaram
For me, this is the only one which is falling below the expectation. It sounds like a dance number and a duet. Hope Gautam picturizes it well and compensates.

The last is Hosana by Suzanne DMello , Blaaze , Vijay Prakash
This one is the pick of the lot for me. Nice rap number. With amazing humming and very smart singing. Tamil lyrics are too good. The componsition and the use of guitar is at a different league. The lyrics suggest that the picturization should be interesting.

Overall, the album gives an international feel and a never before experience to the tamil music lovers. With the kind of advance booking done, there is no doubt about its success. It might well go into the record books. To add to it, it will surely be one of the evergreen numbers charted out by ARR for Tamil industry.
