Swarnalatha is no more - excellent singer under IR's baton

I consider Raja had chosen Swarna to sing some of his hand-picked, special songs and among them, "maalaiyil yaaro" IMO stands out as an evergreen melody that evokes serene,romantic mood. She had a reverberating quality in her voice that could haunt the listeners for a long time. A fantastic mid-range singer with clear diction. I started appreciating her voice after reading the posts from this forum. I would miss her voice in TFM

I used to record her songs for raja in special coney cassettes to get the full feel of her range.

1. "Kanna Un Kannil Kanneero" from Unnai Nenachen Pattu Padichen, a solo

2. "Nillatha Vennila Nillu Nillu" from the movie Aanazhagan, a duet with IR.
