After reading Tilakan's demise , I wanted to watch the song again. I couldn't escape tears. Life is all vanity. Death teaches us that..

I cried seeing the movie moonam pakkam.

I was very young and before even i was mature enough to recognise both my maternal and paternal grandfathers passed away. Seeing this movie i cried and missed them terribly.

Especially the climax where tilkan does the ritual and he himself drowns in the sea as bali

rajaramsgi, are you referring to a different song from Pudhiya manithan? The reason is the song "Nilavukku Thalaattu Solai Kuyile Nee Paadu" has a different tune (at least the female version by S. Janaki that I remember watching on TV). Funnily though, veteran playback singer LR Eswari acts in the song, lip-syncing to S. Janaki's voice, with actress Bhanupriya playing one of the chorus girls, while Shankar (Ganesh) plays the music director!

Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Come on...come on... After Gundello Godari, will we have Padithurai Finally!!!! if yes, 2012 is one hell of a Ilaiyaraaja treat that can dwarf even his 2009 treat (tilting scales more to the musical magnum-opus-ness of NEPV+Padithurai than the high number of films in 2009)
