for those who are in around chennai:

Have any one watched MAKKAL TV on sunday(03.12.06)evening. I saw terrific bengali movie. Only three main characters. Story about young woman married to old man who is about to die. Villagers took them to burial ground and they left alone. pl tell me name of the movie/director/music director if possible.

There's this one song sung by Malaysia Vasudevan from the late 1970s or early 1980s called "Unnakkanne Julie Adi Potti Vachcha Neele" It starts like "Julie... Enakkini Kaali." It has three terrific interludes and the raga is Shudhdha Dhanyasi.

Dinesh - Beta songs were composed by Anand Milind. But like you said it does remind one of a tamil song, esp tujhe dekh ke dil mein kuch hone lagaa.. I am tryin to figure out which song that is. Will get back if I can crack that one.

koyal si teri boli is by Anand Milind. But the original "kondai seval koovum neram" is by Shankar Ganesh from enga chinna rasa

ohhhhh...yea...something like Devar Magan no...the hindi version had the same Inji Idupalagi with Chitra singgin and she won a national award for the song too no....
