Guys
We have two world class music directors, at different periods.
The reason why ARR is
is the 1 scoring for LOTR
is the 1 composed Dance for Vanesa Mae
1 beaten Madonna & Britney's audio sales
is the 1 in the top 10 list in UK
is because of the period in which he played music. Now a days any one who score music in India reaches out international audiance very easily. In 1972, remember tamil people used to listen to RDBurman and he turned them towards his music.
Both ARR and IR are the best that Tamil industry ever produced. Just because IR is not doing much now doesnt mean that he is not good. If you really see what ARR has given in the last two years, its really nothing compared to Roja/Mudhalvan/Indian/Kadhalan/Gentlemen. The fact is the pace of music is changing and now its time for Vidyasagar and Dhinna (specifically Umma Umma and Manmadharasa type songs)
Like someone else posted in this article, it is better if IR and ARR does something else than working for these low grade directors.
Also, knowing whats going on with Mumbai Express, I can assure you that you have some surprises, specially if you are used to listen to Hindi songs!

Normally all music directors will give good music in their first film. But it is difficult to give continuous hits. ARR also failed miserably in recent movies. When compared to ARR IR given so many melodies which will last long.

this movie being Karagaatakari, raja has come up with exactly what was required.the plus point is that the movies theme has taken him back in time,to the glorious 80s when he was in full swing and his style of music was the standard of south in dian industry.when deva came to the scene he composed exact repilcas of Rajas songs(i mean instrumentation and style..not quality)like the songs in Annamalai and Baasha and later switched to GV Prakash and Udit Narayan when god favoured ARR.Whatever people I m enjoying Karagaatakari to the hilt, tippus sounds reminds of malaysia vasudevan at times, only fly in the ointment is Bavathas voice ,its so immature after all these years,i believe her voice denied Raja of many potential hits like the songs from Time...hail Raasayya

This was a terrible album. No way to compare the chartbuster Karagathakaran.... This album sucked big time. I was truley disappointed and by the way this movie is directed by Bhartikannan who is Amman specialist who does not need good songs in his movies.
