Nice to see VJ active. I wish IR had her sing at least one song in 'uLiyin Osai' as he used to do earlier for a number of his semi-classical numbers. 'abhinayam kAttukindRa AraNangE' would have been in a different plane had VJ & KSC rendered the song instead of the regular carnatic singers, IMHO.

Many many days (months?) ago, I'd browsed the following website:

and saw the following name in the lyricists:
"Neelamyle"

Is that another way your name is spelt?

Thank you for sharing those two (and astonishing) tracks from the new albums with me! Such a rare honour!!
I spoke to VJ a few days ago and congratulated her on the mind blowing Vellai Thaalile and Thavamaai...VJ and her Jazz lilt...Whoa!!!!!! I've lost count of the times I've listened to those tracks (playing right now on my media player as I type this!)
Can't wait to get my hands on all the discs! Let me know where I can order them up!

The new albums are all individual themes (a theme/concept for a song). Three albums (Netrichutti, Vellaithaaliley and Mazhaikaala Paravaigal) are already listed at stonewallcreations.com. The other three albums will be soon added to the website as soon as I find the time.

That is the way I spell my first name. The press spelled both my first name and last name differently.

60 sec samples from selected tracks would be nice! Would you be able to put these up at the VJ site? Do try! (If you do, please announce it at the VJ Yahoo discussion group, and send alerts!!)
I must say this: Shaktinathan is a composer to watch out for! VJ told me that the songs in these albums are among the toughest that have come her way. The scale of the two songs I've heard are unlike any other I've heard in Tamizh music. And VJ hits it out of the park...way, way and far out!
