Agreed.. but this is a classic case of interesting subject tackled poorly. The subject is interesting no doubt. just that the execution is more 80s rather than contemporary (although the issue is contemporary). So, IR might have agreed to this listening to the subject.
Regarding music... lets wait... i somehow have some hopes.

Hulk,
Thanks for the song link. I liked the song. As you say, lot of hard rock elements in the song. The wailing guitars that start off the first interlude is pure hard rock stuff. Typically Raja gives his brand of melody against a strong beat in the charanams. Loved the second interlude, the ending of that lude was surprising. I am sure RS will have a smile n his lips hearing this song A very energetic song.
The picturization and dancing were amateurish though. It is definitely not the current MTV material and so I am not sure how much TV time this song will find. Would love to hear it on radio but nowadays radio also plays songs which the producers want to promote and not what the people would want!!!

Well it is a cliched picturisation but it was in the context of the movie i felt. The youtube link says its without dialogues. High chance that this may be like cheeni kum in the sense that it may be scene driven.

Even the Visuals in Serials of NorthIndian Channels are far superior to this

The song Malare Malare from Kadhal Kathai seems like a rehash of 'idhayame idhayame' from Julie Ganapathy. not just the tune but the whole ambience (sound + tune + ideas). i liked it, but yes, felt the lack of newness. i mean, in a way, it is disappointing. gave me an impression that he was lazy to improvise or give a whole new colour to the song. but then, the song is contemplative (like many of IR's Keeravanis).
Just 7 notes behold a beauty of life...

Hulkster,
Long back 'rajaalltheway' a hubber here and a regular at prasad studios wrote that the songs recording for Pazhasiraja was on. Hence now, if BSO is under consideration it will be for only BGM .
There were also talks that 'Resul Pookutty' will be doing the Sound Engineering!
