What's even more disheartening is that the TV channels which thrive on film music have not paid any tribute to her. There are umpteen number of songs in her vast repetoire to choose from... If Kollywood shows such attitude, can you blame the North Indian media?

Entertainment industry lives at this moment. Sad state of affairs.

I remember seeing her last on stage at IR's concert for JayaTV in 2005. She sang a few songs, including Aatama, therottama. I believe that was one of her biggest mass hits in Tamil, just like Rama Chilakkama in Telugu.
