Jency’s one of favourite songs…. She sang for Sridevi..

The song situation itself will be poetical… Rajini trying to play piano and not able to get the swaram properly and Sridevi trying to explain him…. And goes ahead with the song….

Rajini will be quietly watching Sridevi as she sings that song…..

Music has no boundries like language, caste, states..etc.

Thatswhy we are enjoying Mohamed Rafi, Kishore and Lathaji...

I remember one thing. I had fortunated to watch a video cassette of SPB's Dubai stage musical programme. In the middle of the programme, the compier interviewed SPB and asked one question:

"SPB sir, you are singing several languages, but which is your mother tongue".

SPB suddenly replied : "My mother tongue is MUSIC. Thatswhy Mohamed Rafi, Soundar Rajan and Yesudoss are brothers for me".

(No need to mention that there was a great applause)

SPB is a NIRAIKUDAM.... so also KJY.....

I feel pained when SPB expressed his concern in one programme about the current crop of singers....

HE IS CONCERNED THAT HE IS NOT ABLE TO REMEMBER THE SINGER BY THE SONGS.....
HE IS ALSO CONCERNED WITH THE LACK OF COMMITMENT TO THE SONG...

Dear All,

When Ninaithalay enikkum got released … along with that Priya also got released.. I think… The songs of both the movies were heard for a long long time and there was hectic race for the best song as well..

Priya was known mainly for foreign location… nice decent acting by Rajini and Sridevi and above all.. wonderful music by IR….

This song was sung by Rajini and Chinese lover…. Another lovely song from Jency and KJY

mullum malarum is a special movie in the sense there was a combination of various greats like :

1.mahendran – direction
2.balu mahendra – camera
3.music – ir
4.star cast – rajini / saratbabu / shoba / fadafat jayalakshmi

this movie was a big success … excellent acting from everybody … it was a milestone for rajini….

our jency’s one of the all time favourite song is given below…. it’s a solo and was a super hit…..
one can hear lot of jaladharangam being used along with flute in this song….

barathi raja tried something different in this movie… there were three heroines…with kamal …. being the lead role…
it was a commercial movie… i think the movie was not a major success commercially but the songs wereery popular… even rajini’s wife also sang a song…

this song is by jency with kjy…. madhavi performing a barathanatyam and kamal interrupting inbetween and the song goes on further.

Madhu,
Jency and Jollee are both from Ernakulam, they are distant cousins, definitely not siblings. Jollee shifted to Chennai way back in the early 70s. Now he has a recording studio and is busy singing with his children Rohith and Reshma.

Sujatha lost her mother when she was two and was spotted early by Dasettan. Her better half Dr.Mohan is an alumnus of Stanes school which is in kovai.
