app_eng,
You richly deserve the accolades. What you have been doing is unimaginable to most of us. So much dedication, effort and more importantly you have been able to keep the readers interest. And also draw in semi retired fellows like Plum in. Now check out his energy levels !!! So better wear a few layers of clothing now.
rajarasigan: You must thank the moderator (probably RR) for the pictures. I didn't put them there. He must have put it. Lovely photos.

I forgot one award: The come-back-from-hibernation or the greatest-comeback award: being narcissistic, shameless, narcissistically shameless and shamelessly narcissistic, I would have loved to award it to myself - but our dear moderator spoilt that by making his grand post-hibernation come back and participating in the discussions. Here's to the unsung hero of this section - take a bow, Mr RR

Hi!
My picks:
Best Album: Sri Rama Rajyam
Best Song: Sri Rama Lera from Sri Rama Rajyam
Most stunning song: Kannai Padithen from Ponnar Shankar
Most underrated song: Poovekkelu (ASK)
Best "Vintage Wine in New Bottle": Aavani Thumbi
Best Experimentation: Bavani varugira & Annamalar Kathai from Ponnar Shankar
Best BGM: Sri Rama Rajyam (I haven't seen others)
Best typical-raaja-signatured song: amruthamaayi from Sneha Veedu
My disappointments:
1. Happi & Padithurai didn't release.
2. One Kannada album - Hare Rama Hare Krishna - utter disappointment for me.
3. Sengathu Bhoomiyile & Thandavakone didnt impress me much!
Looking forward to:
1. Padithurai
2. Dhoni
3. Ilayaraja scored music for a Hindi film called SRK.
4. Happi
5. A telugu film - Gundello Godari - set in 1986.

Plum (& others)
Dont expect Raagas to discuss about telugu lyrics because raagas has now moved to 'aakarsh' raagas avatar will be used by someone very close to me, whose understanding in telugu lyrics is limited! so here i come with a new avatar!

Oh! Before I read the last post, I was posting a welcome note to aakarsh . There is an aakarsh I think running a telugu IR blog who has made some wonderful observations and discussions. Are you that aakarsh by any chance? If yes, you MUST take charge of the Telugu lyrics thread!

I dont need a welcome post plum if anything, the new 'Raagas' can be welcomed! hopefully soon!
I didnt run a Telugu IR blog per se, but I do have a blog in which I wrote about some IR albums and that probably covered few of his telugu songs may be. But yes, I am the same person!
I wish I can post more in Telugu thread! Time is the enemy! else, I would have posted long back! anyway, i hope to be slightly more active and hopefully, i will post something soon! (translating songs, for the benefit of wider audience here, is quite an exercise you see lets try)
