The original NEPV song from NN is so great that even a low-res video like this (not the Karthik-Jiji one but a combination of many others - Jiva / Surya / Vijay) can get 100K hits just like that:

(Ofcourse, I can't help restate this fact : THE SECOND INTERLUDE IS ONE OF THE BEST I'VE EVER HEARD AS MUSIC, NOT JUST IFM):

OK, this is from the original "ninaivellAm nithyA" (the song is not NEPV but "thOLin mElE" - the IR-Afro special with SPB!)

I know baroque (Vinatha thangai) is a big fan of Karthik, so this for you:

Actually, even part 2 of NN is not boring, Sridhar has done good so far....(and check out the fantastic IR BGM for the Karthik-Gemini puththiri scenes):

yeah... bgm is beautiful even in the first clip before the song!
Actor Karthik & Late actor Sanjeev Kumar, both are immensely likeable!
endearing & luminous are their presence !
One is boyish & cute, Other is dashing & refined!

they both give INTIMATE FEELING, I am fond of them!

Here are some of the CD versions (UdhayaGeetham, Geethanjali and JappanilKalyanaRaman)... Except for the UdhayaGeetham, the rest of them sounds very digital to me. Still, its listenable...the benefit of buying original ACD. http://soundcloud.com/raja4ever/udha...aenethenpaandi

Was playing the sure shot 'put the baby to sleep' song 'ThuLLith thirindhadhoru kaalam' from endrum anbudan.
This is the song we have heard zillion times and seen every corner of it - or thats how I had assumed.
While slipping into a trance in the second interlude and coming out of it when SPB started 'thuLLum alai ena' - I sat up
whoa - never heard this before.. in the sense that instead of a bass guitar playing out in the background slowly chumming
a sub sonic melody - here there was an entire string section(cellos? violins?) playing so mildly along with SPB as he sang the entire song a parallel melody. I thought I must be hallucinating and played it one more time and this time unmistakably so - I can catch the violins playing ever so softly along with SPB's haunting vocals creating a soothing effect... What all goes on to make a song 'Raaja song' - one can only
    wonder and wonder...
Apparently, a democracy is a place where numerous elections are held at great cost without issues and with interchangeable candidates.

Watched NN today (thanks to a youtube link tamilarasan posted in the TF section)...

While I skipped vachukkavA, unnaiththAnE & muththAdudhE (sittukku sellachchittukku difficult to skip), for some reason I continued watching the "most-skip-worthy" song of the movie, 'namma modhalALi nalla modhalALi'...

It could be because of the impressive scene prior (of breaking the factory strike with an innovative idea) that I got carried away immersed in thoughts and forgot to do the "skip" for this song.

Interestingly, now I've revisited the song on youtube

Though neither the song nor the picturization is anything unique (rAsA has done tons of such in his career), I can't help but admire the ENERGY LEVELS of the female dancers

enna oru enthu & dedication to their profession!

Considering this is her FIRST movie, Radhika is very impressive (actually, phenomenal IMHO - compared to all other BR-intros' "first movie" songs)!

I've said this here before - this song is extremely catchy! When I watched this movie as a kid (when I was too young to understand/appreciate music/Raaja), this was the song that caught my attention! And it has aged decently well I must say. Great energy levels this one's got.
